Abstract
Objective:To analyze the effect of wisdom seven needles combined with rehabilitation training on cognitive ability and intelligence level in children with mental retardation.Methods:142 patients were randomly divided into the combination group(wisdom seven needles + rehabilitation training,n =48),the rehabilitation group(single rehabilitation training,n =48),and the acupuncture group(single wisdom seven needles,n =46),intelligence level was evaluated before and after the treatment with Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children(WISC),cognitive ability was evaluated with Gesell Developmental Scale.Software of SPSS19.0 was applied in the analysis.Results:Scores of VIQ (52.33 ± 6.04),FIQ (70.08 ± 5.29),PIQ (56.46 ± 5.83),language skill(80.52 ±5.79),fine motor skill(81.19 ±4.21),gross motor skill(85.52 ±5.48),social ability (79.98 ±6.62),and adaptive capacity(80.17 ± 7.05) were all higher in the combination group than those in the rehabilitation group and the acupuncture group,the total effective rate was 91.67％ in the combination group,which was also higher than that in the rehabilitation group and in the acupuncture group (P ＜ 0.05).Scores of VIQ (49.84 ± 5.73),FIQ (64.47 ± 8.61),PIQ (52.72 ± 8.14),language skill (77.78 ± 6.59),fine motor skill (78.15 ± 5.17),gross motor skill(82.06 ± 4.15),social ability (77.34 ± 5.45),and adaptive capacity (77.30 ± 4.56) were all higher in the acupuncture group than those in the rehabilitation group,the total effective rate was 80.43％ in the acupuncture group,which was also significantly higher than that in the rehabilitation group (P ＜ 0.05).Conelusion:The therapy of wisdom seven needles combined with rehabilitation training is effective for children's mental retardation,which is beneficial to improving cognitive ability and intelligence level.关键词
