Research Progress on Breeding of Angelica Sinensis

Abstract
Good origin plant is an important prerequisite for improving the quality of Chinese herbs.Angelica sinensis,as one of the major Chinese medicinal materials, is commonly used in China; its artificial cultivation has a long history. This study summarized the research progress of the breeding of Angelica sinensis, providing reference for breeding re-search work in the future.This study reviewed germplasm resources, cytology, tissue culture, the breeding of natural variation selection,hybridization,radiation and ploidy mutation of Angelica sinensis.Literature analysis showed that the breeding of Angelica sinensis started relatively late,although it has made some varieties bred in the past ten years, the resistant varieties and bolting resistance breeding still lag behind; continuous cropping obstacle becomes prominent, plant diseases and insect pests increase year on year,therefore,resistance breeding will be the main research field in the future.关键词
