Abstract

Deep natural gas exploration in Xujiaweizi Fault Depression shows that the volcanic crater is not only developed in Xuzhong Fault,but also the natural gas is accumulated in the belt way.In order to make clear of the generating mechanism of Xuzhong Fault and its relationships with the sedimentary and volcanic rocks,integrating with the regional structure background and 3D seismic data,the fault was re-characterized,and moreover the fault evolution characteristics and the non-late-strike-slip genesis were explored.The study shows that Xuzhong Fault is the typical transformed structure,the non-accordance of Xuxi and Songxi two depression-controlled fault deformations were adjusted During the fault stage,they are syndepositional sag-controlling faults;Xuzhong Fault responded intensely in the course of the compressional deformation at the deposition end periods of Shahezi Formation and the 1st member of Yingcheng Formation,and furthermore the structure inversion occurred then,the normal structural belt formed along the Xuzhong Fault,the crater was preferably developed on the belts;Xuzhong Fault was developed in the whole depression period and responsed at various deforming stage and finally became long-period active fault,the structural deforming belt controls the extensions of Shahezi Formation fan-bodies and drainage system.
