摘要
Abstract
Objective:To investigate the relationship among children aged 4 ~5 years,between dental caries and MMP-2 and MMP-9 levels in saliva.Methods:Thirty-three children were randomly selected for each group that caries-free group,low caries group and high caries group.The levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9 were examined by ELISA.The results were statistically analyzed.Results:The difference of saliva MMP-2 levels was statistically significant among three groups:caries-free group<low caries group<high caries group(P<0.05).The difference of saliva MMP-9 levels was statistically signifi-cant among three groups:caries-free group<low caries group<high caries group(P<0.05).Conclusion:With the increase of caries severity,the levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in saliva increased.Saliva MMP-2 and MMP-9 may play an important role in the development of dental caries.关键词
