Research progress on production of high added value products by methanotrophs
摘要
Abstract
Methanotrophs,a microorganism using methane as the sole carbon source and energy source,can catalyze the hydroxylation or epoxidation of lower carbon alkanes or alkenes such as methane under the action of oxygen and generate useful metabolites. The metabolic pathway of methanotrophs and the application of metabolites were discussed. Metabolites mainly include methane protein,methanobactin,polyhydroxy-alkanoates,extracellular polysaccharides,methanol, formaldehyde,formic acid and so on. Using methane as the carbon source by the methanotrophs, biological removal of methane can be achieved,and valuable metabolites can be produced as well. This provides a theoretical basis for industrial production.关键词
