Reverse time migration of anisotropic media using the checkpoint method

Abstract
A reverse time migration method for tilted transversely isotropic (TTI) media that combines the efficient internal boundary storage and checkpoint method to reduce storage is proposed.In this method,shear-wave velocity is introduced into the qP-wave equation to improve the stability of the numerical simulation.To reduce the required storage,a combined efficient internal boundary storage and checkpoint method is proposed,thus realizing accurate reconstruction of source wave fields and improving its applicability to large data computation.Parallel computing of graphic processing units is used to enhance the efficiency of the source wave field recalculation and reverse time migration for TTI media.A test using BP 2007 Anisotropic Velocity Benchmark data revealed the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.关键词
