Effects of propofol compared with sodium lactate Ringer's solution on myocardial function in myocardium of rats with high spinal cord injury

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of propofol and myocardium in myocardium on the expression of FOS nucleoprotein (C-fos) of rats with high spinal cord injury (SCI).Methods Eighty-one healthy male SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group,control group and experimental group according to the random number table method.Each group had 27 rats.In the sham operation group,only the spinal dura mater was exposed to the spinal dura mater,but the control group was given intravenous injection of 6 mL · kg-1 lactic acid Ringer's solution,and 13 mL · kg-1 · h-1;in the experimental group,0.2% propofol 6 mg· kg-1 was injected intravenously with propofol 15 mg · kg-1 · h-1.The C-fos protein and creatine kinase (CK) and creatine kinase (CK) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) were measured.Results At the time of 24 h after operation,the CK-MB in the control group and experimental group were (3.41 ± 0.38),(2.20 ± 0.59) U · L-1;LDH were (6.20 ± 1.00),(5.00 ±0.19) U · L-1 in the two groups;CK were (16.01 ±3.59),(10.99±4.64) U · L-1in the two groups;the expression rates of C-fos protein were (22.4 ± 5.4) %,(14.7 ± 4.2) % in the two groups,the difference was statistically significant (all P < 0.05).After 30 min,the heart rate in the experimental group and the control group were (326 ± 11),(389 ± 15) beat · min-1;the mean arterial pressure were (75.95 ±5.04),(99.83 ±4.72) mmHg in the two groups;the leftventricular systolic peak pressure were (129.47 ±5.26),(131.29 ±4.33) mmHg in the two groups,the difference was statistically significant (all P < 0.05).Conclusion Propofol has a little effect on the expression of C-fos protein and myocardial enzymes in high SCI rats,which can reduce the secondary damage of spinal cord and protect the myocardium from injury caused by high SCI.
