Abstract
Objecfive To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Ningmitai Capsule in the treatment of type III prostatitis. Methods This multi-centered self-control clinical trial included 45 males with type III prostatitis. The subjects were treated with Ningmitai Capsule at the dose of 4 capsules 1 time, three times a day for 4 weeks.NIH-CPSI score, as the main therapeutic index was examined. The laboratory results of urine routine examinations and liver and kidney function tests were used for evaluating the safety based on the adverse events. Results NIH-CPSI total score was (19.31 ± 2.18) before treatment and (12.53 ± 6.22) after 4 weeks of treatment(P < 0.01). The scores of pain symptom after 2 weeks and 4 weeks of treatment were (5.92 ± 3.04) and (4.45±3.90), both decreased than that before the treatment (8.46 ± 2.18, P< 0.05). The total efficiency was 73 %. Conclusion Ningmitai Capsule is effective in the treatment of type III prostatitis with no obvious adverse events.关键词
