摘要

Abstract

Graphene has been extensively explored for applications in a large variety of fields including chemistry,physics and material science due to its unique two-dimensional structure and outstanding electrical, optical,and mechanical properties.It is well known that the surface modification of nano-graphene is the key to improve the biocompatibility of nano-graphene and control their behaviors in biological systems.Therefore, functionalized nano-graphene attracted tremendous interest in biomedicine in recent years.According to the domestic and international literatures,functionalized nano-graphene has also been used as photothermal agents for in v ivo cancer treatment by utilizing their intrinsic high near-infrared absorbance.In addition,the behaviors and potential toxicity of graphene-based materials in v itro and in v ivo have been studied.Finally,future prospects and challenges of using graphene-based materials for theranostic applications are reviewed.
