Development of Compact Driver-in-the-Loop EMT Gearshift Test Bench

Abstract
Conventional gearshift test benches focus on analyzing dynamic process of shift process without considering external random disturbance of driver and traffic environment in a driving cycle. Based on original gearshift test bench,a compact driving simulation system was designed to realize driver-in-the-loop gearshift test,which is more reliable than conventional test.Virtual driving environment,driving simulator and auto-driving algorithm based on model predictive control were integrated in the system.A LabVIEW software was developed for simulator data acquisition and processing,communication between simulation system and transmission control unit(TCU)as well as vehicle status and shift process monitoring.A large number of tests show that the test bench can simulate the vehicle operating conditions under different road condition and driver style and realize driver-in-the-loop gearshift test of electric-drive mechanical transmission(EMT).关键词
