Abstract
As an organic part of the urban community,the historic and cultural blocks are faced with multiple conflicts of protection and development,efficiency and fairness,short-term and long-term needs.Therefore,there is an urgent need to explore new modes and methods.In order to effectively protect and renew historic and cultural blocks in China,this article introduces the concept of micro-renewal,and explores its application in historic and cultural block regeneration.This article also points out three key issues in micro renewal practices:network repair,catalytic forces and activation of endogenous motivation.Taking Pingjiang Historic and Cultural Block in the city of Suzhou as an example,this article elaborates the "micro-renewal" concept and the corresponding design strategies.关键词
