摘要

Abstract

This paper analyzes the dynamic mechanism of vehicle shimmy.By using analytic method,it is theoretically proved that vehicle shimmy is a self-excited vibration phenomenon which is caused by displacement feedback with time delay.Moreover,numerical analysis is carried out to reveal the dynamic behavior and mechanism of the shimmy system,which verifies the conclusion of the analytical analysis.Then the energy input and energy transfer are calculated and the results indicate that the value of energy input can be used to evaluate the dynamic response of vehicle shimmy.Based on the analysis of energy transfer,some measures for attenuation of vehicle shimmy are presented at last.
