Abstract
Objective To analyze and discuss the predictive value of serum level of calcitonin and interleukin-6 in patients with acute appendicitis perforation.Methods A total of 266 cases diagnosed for adult patients admitted to our hospital with acute appendicitis from January 2015 to January 2016 were selected,the serum calcitonin factor and interleukin-6 levels were retrospectively analyzed.All patients were divided into acute appendicitis group and acute appendicitis perforation group according to the pathological report.The differences of serum PCT and interleukin-6 levels between the two groups were analyzed,and the cut-off values of serum PCT and interleukin-6 were calculated by ROC curve.The clinical data of 73 patients with acute appendicitis admitted to the hospital from February 2016 to July were analyzed in order to verify the effectiveness of the truncated value of serum calcitonin and interleukin-6 in acute appendicitis perforation.Results The level of serum calcitonin was higher than 2.61 ng/mL,and the interleukin-6 was higher than 27 pg/mL indicated acute appendicitis perthe diagnostic efficiency of serum PCT and IL-6 was improved significantly.Conclusion The level of serum calcitonin and interleukin-6 can assist in the diagnosis of perforated appendix.关键词
