Reliability and Validity of Chinese Version of Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short Form in Women with Breast Cancer

Abstract
Objective To test the reliability and validity of Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short Form (Fo P-Q-SF, Chinese version) in women with breast cancer. Methods With convenient sampling, 237 women with breast cancer were investigated by using the Chinese version of Fo P-Q-SF, initially translated by Wu Qiyun and the reliability and validity of the form was testified. Results Cronbach's α of Fo P-Q-SF(Chinese version) was 0.856 and that of 2 domains 0.838 and 0.842 respectively. Exploratory factor analysis indicated that the Chinese version of Fo P-Q-SF consisted of 2 domains which explained 53.425% of the total variance and factor loading of the items was higher than 0.4. Conclusion The Chinese version of Fo P-Q-SF has good reliability and validity and can be served as an assessment tool for fear of progression for women with breast cancer in China.关键词
