摘要
Abstract
Objective To survey the needs of and attitude toward death education of medical undergraduates, and to provide reference for promoting death education in medical colleges. Methods With cluster sampling, 1,488 medical undergraduates were investigated from February 2017 to April 2017 with a self-developed questionnaire on their needs of and attitude toward death education. Results The average score of students' attitude towards death education was 3.81±0.59. The majority of the students (1,372, 92.20%) considered there should be courses on death education, of which 715 students (48.05%) assumed the course should be a selective one.A total of 1,164 students(78.23%)believed courses on death education should be provided when they stayed in the university,of which 388 students(26.08%)assumed that they should have such kind of courses when they were freshmen, the duration of death education was set at 21.63±19.68 hours. Their favorite teaching methods included case analysis, experience teaching, and scenario simulation. Conclusion The demand of death education in medical undergraduates is high, and they are positive in the implementation of death education. Required or selective courses on death education with varied teaching methods may be a good choice for medical undergraduates.关键词
