TriVex透光旋切术与传统手术方法治疗下肢静脉曲张的对比研究
Comparison of clinical efficacy between TriVex-based transilluminated powered phlebectomy and traditional surgery in treatment of lower limb varicose veins

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Trivex-based transilluminated powered phlebectomy (TIPP) versus traditional surgery in the treatment of lower limb varicose veins.Methods A total of 122 patients with unilateral lower limb varicose veins (122 affected limbs) undergoing Trivex-based TIPP were assigned into group A,and 80 counterparts with unilateral lower limb varicose veins (80 affected limbs) receiving traditional surgery by high saphenous ligation and stripping were allocated into group B.The length of hospital stay,total length of incisions,the incidence of subcutaneous hematoma,subcutaneous induration,paresthesia/numbness and recurrence rate were statistically compared between two groups.Results The length of hospital stay,total length of incisions,the incidence of subcutaneous indurations and the recurrence rate in group A were significantly less than those in group B (all P ＜ 0.05).During the mean follow up of 12.8 months (range:6-15 months),no recurrent case was reported in group A,whereas 6 patients recurred in group B (7.5％).The incidence of subcutaneous hematoma and paresthesia/numbness did not significantly differ between two groups (both P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion TriVex-based TIPP is a superior procedure to traditional surgery in the treatment of lower limb varicose veins,which yields faster recovery,smaller surgical incisions,less postoperative complications and lower recurrence rate.关键词
