Design of a Microstrip Array Antenna for Automotive Radar
摘要
Abstract
In order to improve the performance of automotive radar,an automotive radar antenna was designed.The microstrip array antenna is in the shape of 4 × 8 arrays,the center frequency is 24.1 GHz,the exponential weighting is used to design the feed network,which can reduce the sidelobes.It was simulated and optimized on the HFSS electromagnetic simulation platform.The simulation result shows that the maximum gain of the antenna is 21.4 dBi,the sidelobe level is lower than-15 dB,and the half-power beam width of the H-plane is about 10°.The performance of the microstrip array antenna is stable in 24 ~ 24.5 GHz.The overall size of antenna is small with about 70 mm long and 36 mm wide.Applying the antenna to the car radar can detect information more such as speed,distance,and angle of the vehicle and obstacles,thus collision warning,blind spot detection and other functions are achieved.关键词
