Abstract

Based on the gravity-geologic method (GGM),the bathymetry model is inversed for 1'× 1'bathymetry determination in 112°E~ 119 ° E,16° N ~ 20° N region in south sea.The gravity anomalies data is used in this method,and the accuracy of the predicted model is evaluated by the check of the directly grid results of the ship-derived data and ETOP01 model.Results show that the GGM model has a more precise results compared to the directly grid results of the ship-derived data,and the bathymetric model predicted by GGM is more accurate than ETOP01 model in areas with better distributed shipborne measurements.In order to further validate the relevance between the GGM model and the topographical characteristics,the depths of 9 356 check points' interpolation respectively from GGM model and the ETOP01 model are calculated.The difference between the two interpolation depths reaches mean value of 19.560m,standard deviations of 130.156m and relative precision of 4.79%. Analysis results show that the GGM model and the ETOP01 model have a good coherence in deep sea areas with a gently slope change.However,the difference between two models gradually increases in shallow sea areas,which reach the maximum in areas of seamounts.Finally,in order to make full use of the advantages of gravity geologic method in the inversion of bathymetry,the best application conditions are summarized.
