Abstract

Map projection is the two dimensional topological transformation of the spherical meridian and parallel.The topological equivalence relations of the topological transformation lead to the map projection distortion.The essential difference of different projection is the various distortion distributions,which are expressed by the different structural character of the meridian and parallel.Traditional eastern and western edition world map adopts the polyconic projection,which can express spatial relations of the pattern of world's continents and oceans properly.But it has intrinsic disadvantages on the distortion of two pole areas and each has no integrated reflection.HAO Xiaoguang's southern and northern edition world map projection (HAO World Map Projection,or HAO Projection) puts south and north pole at the center of the projection,which made the Antarctic and Arctic Ocean and the surrounding continents perfectly expressed and has very little distortion.The advantages of HAO World Map Projection also repairs the shortcomings of landscape world map projection.The structural character of meridian and parallel of HAO projection is expatiated and analyzed in the thesis.Several conceptions such as symmetrical curvilinear meridian group,closed curves,adjacent field,rounding pole parallels group and so on are introduced.And the mathematics model of HAO projection is given.
