摘要

Abstract

SOXH,a member of SOX gene family, plays key roles in spermatogonium differentiation and spermatogenesis in vertebrates. In recent years, research shows SOXH is not vertebrate specific, but it remains unclear in invertebrates regarding how SOXH works and what its function is.In this study,SOXH was successfully identified from the Yesso scallop genome and transcriptome by bioinformatics analysis.Three splicing patterns of SOXH were found, coding 694,679,1051 amino acids, respectively.Expression profiles of different splicing forms in scallop ovary and testis of four developmental stages were obtained by qRT-PCR,which showed that SOXH predominantly expressed in mature testis and lowly expressed in ovary.Additionally, expression of SOXH in mature testis prefer to the third splicing pattern. The study also showed that the three splicing forms presented different expression patterns in early development. All these results revealed that SOXH played important roles in scallop spermatogenesis and embryonic/larval development, but the three splicing forms of SOXH may exert diverse functions. This study providesa base for further research on SOXH function and its molecular mechanism in invertebrates.
