Study on Plasticization of PLA/BF Composite Materials

Abstract
Polylactide/bamboo fiber (PLA/BF) composite was prepared by the injection molding process,with polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG400) as the plasticizer.The effects of PEG400 content on plasticizing properties of PLA/BF composites were investigated.The results show that PEG400 is beneficial to improve the compatibility of the PLA/BF composite in a certain extent,but decreasing the thermal stability and increasing the water absorption of the PLA/BF composite with the increasing content of PEG400 content.Mechanical properties test showes that the tensile strength of the PLA/BF composite is reducing with the increasing content of PEG400,but the impact strength of the composite has the different changing tendency.So,the PEG400 is beneficial to improve the toughness of the PLA/BF composites.关键词
