摘要

Abstract

Objective To report the experience and advantagesof endoscopic ossiculoplasty with autogenous ossi-cles.Methods The study was a retrospective analysis of 32 patients who received endoscopic tympanoplasty and ossicu-loplasty with autogenous ossicles.Tympanic membrane healing results and postoperative complications were assessed. The average pre-and postoperative pure tune audiometry air conduction thresholds(AC),as well as changes in air-bone gap(ABGap),were compared to determine degree of improvement.Results Tympanic membranes were successfully re-paired in 31 patients(96.9%).The average AC was improved from 48.0±18.3 dB HL to 30.6±12.1 dB HL(t=2.453,P<0.05).The average ABGap was reduced from 36.6±16.8 dB to 16.0±8.5 dB(t=2.744,P<0.05).No postoperative facial nerve paralysis,taste abnormality,vertigo,autogenous ossicles extrusion or recurrent middle ear disease was observed. One patient had postoperative mild high tone sensorineural hearing loss,accompanied with persistent tinnitus.The other 31 patients did not have any change in bone conduction.Conclusion Endoscopic ossiculoplasty with autogenous ossi-cles has the advantages of easy availability, clear operation visualization, less trauma, improved hearing results and shorter recovery time.However,single-hand operation makes it a challenge to carry out elaborate maneuvers,especially in tympanic cavity bleeding cases.
