托吡酯与左乙拉西坦用于小儿癫痫添加治疗的临床疗效研究

Abstract
Objective:To compare the effect of topiramate and levetiracetam,as add-on treatment respectively,on the epileptic seizure and cognitive function in pediatric epilepsy.Methods:46 eligible children were recruited and assigned into 2 groups randomly (n=23):LEV group and TPM group.Children in LEV group and TPM group were administered levetiracetam and topiramate,respec-tively,as add-on treatment.The duration was 16 weeks.The incidence of epileptic seizure was recorded at the 1 and 6 months after treat-ment to evaluate the efficacy.The cognitive function in children was evaluated after addition of treatment.Results:The overall efficacy in the LEV group and the TPM group at 1 month after treatment were 73.9% and 82.6%,respectively,the efficacy at 6 months after treatment were 52.2% and 39.1%,respectively,no significant difference was found(P＞0.05).No difference was found in the VIQ, PIQ,and FIQ at 1month after treatment between two groups(P＞0.05),but the PIQ in the LEV group at 6 months after treatment was greater than that in TPM group (P＜0.05).Conclusion:As add-on treatment,the levetiracetam has comparable efficacy with topira-mate for reducing the epileptic seizure but better effect on the cognitive function than topiramate in pediatric epilepsy.关键词
