Fast Identification Techniques of Reservoir and Fluid Properties in Complex Fault Block with Development of Thin Interbeds

Abstract
Yingdong Oilfield is a complex fault block reservoir characterized by thick reservoir with development of thin interbeds,moreover there are multiple sets of oil-gas-water systems overlap each other vertically,and high-resistivity water layers and low-resistivity hydrocarbon layers are ubiquitous.So,rapid identification of reservoirs and fluid properties is very difficult. In this paper,difficulties of fluid identification are summarized based on the analysis of lithology, physical properties and pore structure of the reservoirs in the study area.More importantly, three models are built for reservoir and fluid identification:the caliper-potential overlap method for identifying reservoirs;the resistivity ratio method for identifying water layer;and the hydrocarbon components ratio method for distinguishing oil and gas.This research greatly improves the precision and efficiency of evaluating oil,gas and w ater layers in Yingdong oilfield, and has played an important role in the development of Yingdong oilfield.关键词
