摘要

Abstract

The deep strata of the × Basin are characterized by high abrasiveness and poor drillability,which leads to the slow ROP and long drilling cycles.In order to improve the penetration rate,this paper establishes a model based on the experiment of rock mechanical characteristics to calculate the drillability level,hardness,plasticity and abrasiveness of different rocks such as sand mudstone,conglomerate and igneous rock.According to the results,we get a conclusion that w hen the drilling ability of the formation is below 7,the PDC bit is used;However,if the drillability is more than 7,it is necessary to drill with a roller bit.Based on the conclusion,a technique is developed for the evaluation of rock drillability in deep formations. This technique not only can be used to determine the regional distribution characteristics of drillability for different rocks in the × Basin,but also can be used to predict the drillability of new wells,so as to provide the technical guidance for optimizing the drill bit during drilling.
