Abstract

The exploration and development of the fractured complex oil and gas reservoirs often need to provide more detailed stratigraphic information in the multidimensional geometric space. The measured information of reflection wave form azimuth remote exploration acoustic reflection imaging logging tool,cannot only identify the reflectors with a remote distance away from the borehole but can also quantitatively analyze the distance and direction of the reflector from the wellbore.The instrument adopts phased array high-power transmission technology,azimuth array receiving technology and original direct-pressure active emission and receiving sound system structure,so that it can detect reflectors located at a certain position above 40 m from the wellbore with azimuth resolution of 22.5°.This paper describes the tool's measurement principle, structural design and characteristics,performance parameters as well as method simulation experiments.The field test has verified its effect and compensates for the defects that the DOI of logging is too shallow and the resolution of the seismic is low,and also provides new technologies for the detailed description of deep complex oil and gas reservoirs.
