An Improved Method for GNSS Carrier-to-Noise Ratio Estimation Based on Wide-Narrow Bandwidth Power Ratio Method

Abstract
In order to reduce the implementation complexity of the carrier-to-noise ratio estimation algo-rithm,an improved method of narrow to wide bandwidth carrier-to-noise ratio estimation is proposed.The signal energy is mainly distributed in the I branch when the signal is tracked well.Based on this feature, this method which only takes the I-branch signal simplifies the broadband in the traditional Narrow to Wide Power Ratio Method,and holds the narrow band constant for the carrier-to-noise ratio estimation.After the theoretical expression of the improved carrier-to-noise ratio estimation is deduced in detail,the verification and analysis are carried out by simulation test.Finally,the selection of K value is discussed.The test results show that the improved algorithm is basically equivalent to the traditional algorithm,however,compared with the traditional Narrow to Wide Power Ratio Method,the improved algorithm can reduce about 1000 times in the add and multiply amount of the algorithm complexity,about 60% of the traditional algorithm, which makes the complexity is effectively reduced.关键词
