Abstract
A radar system desires low range sidelobes and Linear Frequency Modulated(LFM) waveforms can reach a-35 dB Peak Sidelobe Level(PSL) with a window in range compression. Based on a waveform design method for extraordinarily-low range sidelobes and ignorant of signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) loss, this paper proposes a novel range compression method for extraordinarily-low range sidelobes. The concept is to use a range compression weight as the ratio of the frequency domain signal to the LFM frequency do-main,yielding a -120dB sidelobe output. The SNR loss and sensitivity to delay are also analyzed accord-ing to theory and numerical simulations.关键词
