贵港市大龄女性性工作者艾滋病相关认知、行为和感染情况分析
Study on HIV related knowledge, behavior and infections among older female sex workers in Guigang

Abstract
Objective:To explore HIV/AIDS awareness,high-risk sexual behavior,HIV and syphilis infection among different age groups in female sex workers (FSWs) in Guigang city during 2010 to 2015,and to provide theoretical data for local AIDS prevention and control.Methods:A questionnaire was conducted in FSWs sentinels in Guigang during 2010-2015.Face to face anonymous questionnaire using "national HIV sentinel surveillance FSW questionnaire" was carried out by trained investigators.Results:Of 6,200 FSW participants,44.48％ belonged to older FSWs (OFSWs),namely,those aged 35 years or older.Among OFSWs,89.99％ were married or cohabiting,61.09％ were at primary school education level,59.32％ were from other provinces,and 73.79％ worked in the low-end places.All of the above characteristics in OFSWs were significantly different with those in FSWs younger than 35 years old (P ＜0.001).The average HIV awareness rate among OFSWs was 90.65 ％.Except in 2014,the awareness rates annually in FSWs ＜ 35-year-old group were significantly higher than those in OFSWs.From 2010 to 2013,the consistent condom use rates annually in FSWs ＜ 35-year-old group were also significantly higher than those in OFSWs (P ＜ 0.05).However,there were no significant difference between two groups in 2014 and 2015,respectively (P ＞ 0.05).The overall prevalence of HIV and syphilis in FSWs were 1.92％ and 11.19％,respectively.There were significant differences in HIV and syphilis infection rates among different age groups (P ＜ 0.001).Conclusion:The education level,HIV awareness,and adherence rate of condom use in OFSWs were lower than those in FSWs who were younger than 35 years old.Correspondingly,the HIV and syphilis infection rates were significantly higher in OFSWs.Due to the fact that different characteristics were shown among different age groups in FSWs in Guigang city,targeted interventions according to different age groups may effectively control HIV infection and transmission in FSWs in Guigang,Guangxi.关键词
