Abstract
The "fangren" theory is a kind of TCM constitution theory proposed by Professor HUANG Huang, which is classed by formula symptoms of classical prescription. It is an applied theory to guide clinical practice. The "fangren" theory is characterized by people-oriented, empiricalness, systematicness, openness, and easiness of dissenination. Therefore, it can make the traditional Chinese medicine theory to eliminate the false and retain the true according to objective evidence. Because the "fangren" theory has the same positivism thoughts as modern science, it is more easily to absorb and apply modern scientific achievements and is more easily accepted by modern cultures that believe in science. Hence, the "fangren" theory provides new ideas for the modernization and internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine.Although the "fangren" theory cannot cover all of TCM, it is the origin of the TCM positivism thinking and is the practical and real part of TCM.关键词
