摘要
Abstract
Objective:To measure gingival color by using spectrophotometer and develop a shade guide.Methods:A total of 307 human subjects with healthy gingival were divided into groups according to sex and age.A spectrophotometer was used to measure the color of gingival over the maxillary anterior area.A two-way analysis of variance(ANOVA)test and clus-ter analyses were used to analyze the data.A gingival color shade guide was developed after analyze the distribution of gingi-val colors.Results:There were significant differences in different gender groups(ΔE=4.53),the mean L*value of female was significantly higher than the value of male(P <0.05). But there was no significant difference between different age groups.Conclusion:The gingival color of female is lighter than that of male.The proposed color classification can be used as a gingival shade guide reference by dental clinical and laboratory technicians.关键词
