双线偏振雷达在广州“3.19”降雹过程中的应用分析

Abstract
The characteristics of synoptical background and radar parameters of a hail event on 19 March 2016 are analyzed based on Guangzhou dual-polarization doppler radar parameters,Huadu wind profiler and NCEP reanalysis data.The results show that the intensity of radar echo is generally above 50 dBz,and the echo top is always above 10 km.What's more,it appears a significant three body scattering spikes,cyclonic convergence and storm top divergence.Hail storm can be identified by the polarization parameters (such as ZDR,ρHV,KDP).Hail storm usually exist in the area with strong reflectivity、low value of ZDR and ρHV.The typical value of ZDR is usually between-1.0 and 0.2 and the value ofρHV is between 0.7 and 0.9.Identified by ρHV and ZDR is more effective in lower elevation than in higher elevation,while KDP is not always well in hail recognition.For scare hail storm cases,hail warning methods based on dual-polarization doppler radar parameters are still limited,which maybe lead to empty warning and forecasting,so more further research works are needed.关键词
