Abstract
Green body of silicon carbide with coarse particles and silicon powder was prepared by gel-casting process in a vibrated mould using agarose system.The influences of the content of two dispersants (sodium tripolyphosphate and β-naphthalene sulfonate condensation polymerization)and solid content on the rheological properties of slurry were studied.The strength, bulk density and porosity of green body were tested after de-greased.The results show that the green body can be prepared from slurry with viscosity under 60000 mPa· s in the vibrated mould.The solid content can reach up to 67%.When the amount of sodium tripolyphosphate and β-naphthalene sulfonate condensation polymerization were 1.5%and 2%respectively,the viscosity of the slurry was the smallest,respectively 13558 mPa· s and 12625 mPa· s, which had the best fluidity and the dispersion performance of β-naphthalene sulfonate condensation polymerization was better than that of sodium tripolyphosphate.Gel-casting assisted by vibration and the use of coarse particles can increase the strength of green body by gel -casting process using agarose system.关键词
