Research on the Educational System and Developmental Models of Postgraduate in the Major of Environmental Science in China

Abstract
With the development of social and economy,the environmental pollution has become one of the most serious problems in China.Cultivating high level talents in this field can be an effective way to improve environmental quality.Therefore,it is an urgent issue that improves the educational system and developmental models of the postgraduate education of environmental science in China.In this paper,in order to give some useful suggestions for improving the cultivation level of postgraduate in environmental science in China,we have introduced and made a review for the educational experiences of postgraduate in environmental science in the department of Crop,Soil and Environmental Science of University of Arkansas,Fayetteville,U.S.The results indicate that reforming the present teaching model and methodology is the most important aspect,which includes further perfecting and developing the educational system,cultivating students' innovation ability,broadening the view for environmental issues research,and enhancing the international competition of postgraduates in the major of environmental science.关键词
