Abstract

In order to explore the correlation between the factors of rainfall and the creation of landslide from river terrace for deeply recognizing the deformation process of this kind of river bank-slope,both the instability-dominated boundary and the deformation instability mechanism model of the terrace landslide are studied herein on the basis of the wide-ranging analysis made on the geological structure of Darenyancun Village Landslide.Combined with the geological investigation of the landslide,the stability of inclined slope under the condition of rainfall is simulatively analyzed with the relevant finite element numerical software,and then a comprehensive analysis is further made on the stress field,strain field and displacement field of the inclined slope under rainfall condition.The study result shows that (1) moderate steep-terrain,loose structure and softenable materials of the accumulated body on terrace as well as the steep dominant structural plane create the geological conditions for the formation of the landslide,while the strong rainfall is just the major trigger factor;(2) the shear-crack of the landslide is located in the excavation area at the slope toe,the sliding zone of the landslide is located at the contact location of strong and weak weathering bedrock and the instability height of the rock-soil mass therein reaches to 200 m;(3) through the variations of the fields of stress,strain and displacement therein under rainfall condition,the landslide forming mechanism belongs to the thrust load caused landslide under the effect of rainfall,from which the bridge pier at the slope toe is momentarily sheared off by the sliding mass.All the analyses given above a certain significance for the study on the instability mechanism of the terrace rainfall-induced landslide and the assessment on its stability.
