Abstract
Objective To investigate the method and effect of retroauricular pedicle flap for repair of skin defects in auricular conchal cavity.Methods In 2016,3 female patients with skin defects in auricular conchal cavity due to resection of benign lesions received defect repair with retroauricular pedicle flap.During repair operation,a ping pong racket-shaped pedicle flap obtained from the retroauricular mastoid area was passed through a tunnel underneath the ear root,and covered the skin defect followed by suturing and pressure dressing.Results Primary healing of retroauricular incision was achieved in all 3 cases with almost subtle scar.The flaps got survived with good color,texture,and flexibility.The contour of the auricular conchal cavity was satisfactory.Conclusion With advantages of simplicity in operation and good cosmetic effect,the retroauricular pedicle flap is worthy of clinical application in repairing skin defect of auricular conchal cavity.关键词
