摘要

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the result of hearing screening with automated auditory brainstem response (AABR) for newborns in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and for those in neonatal wards.Methods The results of hearing screening with AABR and final auditory brainstem response (ABR)of 1 106 newborns from NICU and 1 757 newborns from neonatal ward in Ningbo Women and Children Hospital were retrospectively analyzed.The results of AABR and final diagnosis of sensorineural hearing loss(SNHL) were compared between two groups of newborns,and the risk factors of SNHL were analyzed.Results The positive rate of AABR screening and SNHLin newborns of NICU were significantly higher than those in neonatal ward (6.78% vs 3.93%,P<0.05;3.98% vs 1.88%,P<0.05,respectively).Intrauterine distress,low APGAR scores at 1 min,hyperbilirubinemia,mechanical ventilation ≥5d,intracranial infection and sepsis were independent risk factors of SHNL.Conclusion The incidence of SNHL in NICU is higher than that in neonatal ward.The newborns with positive AABR hearing screening and the risk factors of SHNL need to be closely monitored for hearing status during childhood.
