Establishment of membrane labyrinth model in standard three-dimensional coordinate system

Abstract
Objective To establish a membranous labyrinth model in standard three-dimensional space coordinate system and to measure the spatial direction of crista.Methods Thirty three cases of bilateral inner ears and eye model were segmented to generate statistical shape model and derive the average model as the standard model.The plane passes the foot of common crus bifurcation of semicircular duct and the bottom of the eye that parallel to the horizontal plane for building the standard three-dimensional space coordinate system.The bony labyrinth was calibrated with the standard model and then transformed the membranous labyrinth and ampulla model,the spatial direction of membranous labyrinth was established and the spatial direction of the crista was measured.Results The membranous labyrinth was beneficial for observing the spatial direction of crista.The angle between the crista of the lateral semicircular canal and the sagittal plane was 3.8°,and the angle between the crista of the posterior semicircular canal and the sagittal plane was 42.8°.Conclusion A membranous labyrinth model has been successfully established in standard three-dimensional coordinate system and the spatial direction of the crista ampullaris has been measured,which can be used for the study of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.关键词
