Abstract

When analyzing the performances of the waterflooded oil reservoir at the high watercut stage,because the volumetric swept coefficient deduced from the conventional water flooding characteristic curves can't describe the curve upwarping features,there is a large error.On the basis of the water drive characteristic curve at the high watercut stage,a new predicting formula of the volumetric swept coefficient which is suitable for the stage was derived;the relationships between the volumetric sweep coefficient and the water cut under various oil-water viscosity ratios were analyzed.With the help of the case study,the accuracy was verified and the upwarping moment was studied as well.The application analysis shows that the greater the oil-water viscosity ratio is,the later the upwarping moment will be.At the high watercut stage,the error of new formula is far smaller than those of Type Jia,Yi and Zhang Jinqing,and moreover the determined values for the upwarping moment are accordant.The new predicting formula is more practical for the development index prediction and evaluation of the waterflooded oilfield at the later stage of the production.
