Anesthetic Effect of MS-2 2 2 on Brachymystax lenok tsinlingensis

Abstract
Brachymystax lenok tsinlingensis is the second class protected aquatic wild animal in China.Dur-ing the process of artificial breeding,markers and transportation,the additive dose and anesthetic effect of MS-222 on Brachymystax Lenok tsinlingensis were studied in this paper.The additive doses of MS-222 were studied using fish fries and adult fish of Brachymystax lenok tsinlingensis with average weight of 9.8 g±5.2 g and 160 g±5.2 g,respectively.The result showed that 45 mg/L MS-222 was suitable for arti-ficial breeding and manual mark,and 10 mg/L MS-222 had better anesthetic effect than other experiment group doses in transportation.The result showed that the range of effective concentrations of MS-222 was 0-50 mg/L.With the gradual incensement of MS-222,the needing time that experiment fish have the same anesthetic period was shortened,but the absolute recovery time was prolonged.The anesthetic time of a-dult fish is longer than that of fish fries.The results are important for survival rate of Brachymystax lenok tsinligensis.关键词
