Abstract
In order to understand the drug resistance of Enterococcus faecalis from swine and chickens in Henan province,480 samples were collected from scaled pig and chicken farms in four areas,E.faecalis were isolated and identified by PCR and BD PhoenixTM-100 Compact automatic microbial analysis system. The drug resistance analysis was carried out by mini-broth dilution susceptibility test.The result showed that total 254 isolates of E.faecalis were isolated,the isolating rate was 52.9%.The resistances of E.fae-calis isolates to cefoxitin,tiamulin,clindamycin,sulfisoxazole,erythromycin and tilmicosin were all above 90%,resistance to seven or more antimicrobials was observed in over 90% of E.faecalis isolates.The re-sults indicated that the drug resistance of E.faecalis from pigs and chickens in Henan province is serious, the better environmental hygiene should be provided to food animals to prevent the proliferation and spread of drug-resistant bacteria.关键词
