Abstract

In the past, groundwater dewatering in mines lacked of scientific planning and management. This practice,however,has caused a great deal of groundwater resources wasted and a series of environmental geological problems occurred.The most effective solution to solve the conflict between groundwater drainage and conservation, is to optimize and distribute groundwater resources reasonably. Therefore, in this paper, taking the west wing mining area of Panbei Coal Mine in Huainan City as the research object,a goal programming management model is established by the optimization method, which based on the analysis of hydro-geological conditions and the construction of hydro-geological simulation models. The goal programming management model takes water level and dewatering volume as constraint conditions, and takes the minimum dewatering volume as the objective function. According to the optimal solution of the model,the drainage boreholes were redistributed and arranged in the study area. As a result,the mining time of coal seam A group in this area is shortened from 22 years to 5 years,and the total volume of required groundwater dewatering is decreased from 23126400 m3to 11942486 m3. The model proved to be correct and feasible by field practice. The method can also provide some guidance for groundwater drainage of mines which has similar conditions
