Multi-scale Monitoring Method for Local Seismic Damage of Reinforced Concrete Structure Members

Abstract
A multi-scale monitoring method for local seismic damage of RC structures has been proposed.Firstly,on the material scale,smart aggregate monitoring was conducted to consider the effect of randomness of concrete material in meso-scale,and tests were carried out to establish the statistical relationship between the stresses of smart aggregates and the stress in concrete during the overall damage process.Secondly,on the cross-section scale,by using MEMS inclinometer to measure the rotation in structural cross-section,a monitoring method is proposed to obtain sectional curvature of concrete members and its feasibility is evaluated through experiments.Finally,on the member scale,a monitoring method is developed to obtain the inter-story drift,which is based on the integration of monitored crosssection rotation by using MEMS inclinometers.The design principle of the monitoring locations is given and its reliability is validated through specimen loading test.关键词
