Abstract

To investigate the influence of bulk factor (K) and moisture content (ω) on the compressibility and consolidation characteristics of lead-zinc tailings,the WG triple high-pressure consolidation apparatus was adopted to carry out standard oedometer tests on lead-zinc tailings.The characteristics of compressibility and consolidation of lead-zinc tailings were analyzed based on the modified e-P curve analysis model.The results indicate that:(1) the compression coefficient avl-2 decreases as K increases.When ω<ωopt,avl-2 fluctuates between 0.034 MPa-1 and 0.092 MPa-1;When ω≥ωopt,av1-2 increases as ω increases.When ω≥15%,the tailings are categorized as compressible soil.Coefficient of consolidation Cv decreases as K increases and with the increase of ω,it increases first and then reduce.When ω=9%,Cv reaches maximum.The e-P model is modified and the model parameters are optimized.The correctness and rationality of the model is verified.The research results provide experimental and theoretical basis for stability analysis of tailings ponds,which provides a scientific reference for the safe operation and recycling of tailings ponds.
