摘要

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) exhibits considerably different traffic patterns than human-type communication.Thus,it is necessary to study new traffic models and analyze the network performances in this context.Firstly,the transmission of machine-to-machine (M2M) traffic is abstracted through the backhaul network as a model of tandem nodes.Secondly,coupled Markov modulated Poisson process (CMMPP) is used to model M2M traffic,reflecting the spatial and temporal correlation of M2M traffic in IoT.Then,the arrival curve of CMMPP is derived and the service curve of the transmission network is analyzed by using stochastic network calculus.On this basis,the end-to-end delay bound of M2M traffic is deduced.Finally,numerical analyses verify the accuracy of the results.
