摘要

Abstract

Bunched surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) are obtained by the structure combined by the excitation source and concentric semicircle grooves in the gold film.The bunched SPPs can propagate along the symmetric axis of the concentric semicircle grooves with a small divergence angle for several micrometers.The semicircle groove can reflect the SPPs as a concave mirror,and the reflected SPPs form the enhanced or attenuated field around the symmetric axis according to the phase difference.The electric field of the SPPs is evaluated by the finite element method.The intensity distribution and the propagation length of the SPPs are analyzed considering the effects on the excitation polarization and the position.The full width of half maximum (FWHM) of the bunched SPPs is given in functions of the excitation position and the excitation wavelength,respectively.By manipulating the excitation polarization,excitation position,excitation wavelength and so on,a strongly bunched SPPs with a small divergence angle can be obtained,thus it plays a key role in increasing the integration of the integrated optics.
