Abstract

[Objective]The purpose of the study was to clarify the pathogen causing lily wilt disease in Taigu and to de-termine its biological characteristics.[Methods]The pathogen was isolated and identified by tissue isolation,pathoge-nicity test,morphological characteristics study,and rDNA -ITS sequence analysis.Biological characteristics of the pathogen were determined by measuring the diameter of the colony and counting the number of conidia using hemocy-tometer measurement.[Results]The pathogen which caused lily wilt disease was identified as Fusarium proliferatum. The optimal temperature for mycelial growth and sporulation was between 25 and 30 ℃,while the optimal pH value for mycelial growth and sporulation were at 7,and 6-7,respectively.Saccharose and lactobiose were the best carbon sources for mycelial growth and peptone was the best nitrogen source.The best carbon source for sporulation was sac-charose and the best nitrogen source was glycine.[Conclusion]The pathogen of lily wilt disease was F.proliferatum. The understanding of its primary biological property provided the theoretical basis for disease control.
