Typical Errors and Maintenance of Organization Indexing of Web of Science
摘要
Abstract
Web of Science indexes organizations to addresses according to the organization-enhanced list, in order to collect the documents of an organization with different institution names. The types and influences of indexing errors are analyzed, and the characteristics of indexing and the causes of errors are discussed. As a case of HUST, the method of maintenance is proposed, locating documents indexed inaccurately or unsuccessfully by contrasting the results of organization enhanced search with those of address search. Finally, some suggestions are putforward: the maintenance needs more participation, the company should improve and optimize the information processing technology, and organization-enhanced list need collaboration management and maintenance of the company and institutions.关键词
