Differential Expression of Five Reproductive Candidate Genes in the Ovary and Uterus of Xiang Pig

Abstract
The aim of this study was to confirm whether the effects of five candidate genes on ovary and uterus function presented,which were screened out from the transcriptome sequencing data of Xiang pig ovary.The five genes included SLPI(secretory leukocyte peptidase inhibitor),INHA(inhibin alpha subunit),SERPINE1(Serpin Family E Member 1),MSMB(microseminoprotein beta) and PTGFR(prostaglandin F receptor).We compared the expression level of these genes in the ovary and uterus of Xiang pig at two stages of estrus and non-estrus via fluorescence quantitative PCR method.The expression levels of SERPINE1 gene were not different between two stages of ovary and uterus.Compared with the non-estrus period,INHA gene was significantly increased in ovary at estrus stage (P<0.01),the expression levels of the SLPI gene were significantly increased in the ovary (P<0.05) and extremely significant higher in the uterus (P<0.01).The mRNA level of MSMB gene decreased in ovary and uterus (P<0.05),and the expression levels of INHA and PTGFR genes were significantly declined in the uterus during the estrous period of Xiang pig (P<0.05).Our results implied that INHA,SLPI and MSMB might have roles in both of ovary and uterus,while PTGFR might have a function only on uterus of Xiang pig.关键词
