Design of a C-Band 6 MeV Linear Accelerating Tube

摘要

Abstract

A C-band standing wave biperiodic on-axis coupled linear accelerating tube has been designed for a compact accelerator.The total length of the accelerating tube is less than 22 cm,which is powered by 3 MW klystrons.The simulations of the geometry and beam dynamics study of the accelerating tube are implemented by CST-and a code developed by ourselves.The results present 130 mA electron beam can be accelerated to 6 MeV with 37%capture ratio.
